Dr. Porpatham has over 19 years of professional experience encompassing 5 years in industry and 14 years in academia. His expertise lies in internal combustion engine technology, with significant contributions to the development of biogas-fuelled SI engines, rotary engines, and hybrid electric vehicles.
He has developed a state-of-the-art numerical simulation program for biogas engines and played a pivotal role in seven government-funded projects, including the successful development of a syngas-fuelled gen-set engine prototype for Tata Power Company Ltd., Mumbai.
Dr. Porpatham is an active researcher with numerous publications in reputed journals and conferences. He frequently delivers keynote lectures at national and international forums and serves as a reviewer for several international journals. He has also guided multiple undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. research scholars.
