Dr. Sudhir Joshi GEU Dehradun
Dr. Sudhir Joshi is an experienced academician and professional administrator with over 28 years of diverse experience spanning multinational corporations and higher educational institutions. He currently serves as the Deputy Director – IQAC, NEP Coordinator, and Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. He also holds the prestigious position of Joint Secretary of The Combustion Institute – Indian Section and serves as Vice President of the Institute Innovation Council at GEU.
He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, a Master’s degree in Space Engineering and Rocketry from the renowned Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. His professional journey reflects a rich blend of academic leadership, innovation management, industry-academia collaboration, and excellence in outcome-based education (OBE).
Before his academic tenure, Dr. Joshi accumulated extensive international industry experience working with premier organizations such as:
- CYIENT (onsite assignment to Pratt & Whitney, USA)
- Turbine Overhaul Services (Singapore)
- Cognizant (United Airlines Project, San Francisco, CA)
- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)
These roles equipped him with deep expertise in aftermarket services engineering, repair development, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) practices, and project management.
Dr. Joshi has been instrumental in driving quality assurance, industry partnerships, faculty and student development programs, and continuous academic improvement initiatives. He is well-versed in both conventional and blended learning methods for undergraduate instruction in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering.
A certified professional from the University of California in Virtual Instruction and Emerging Trends & Technologies in the Virtual Classroom, Dr. Joshi brings a global perspective to engineering education. His extensive industry-academia exposure underlines his commitment to fostering innovation, translational research, and academic excellence aligned with national and global goals.
